Back to the Basics! This eight hour informative Zoom Workshop is designed for the beginner OR for the artist who needs to be reminded of essential studio practices.

Bob opens his studio to show you how to…

•Set up your studio and painting table
•How to tear and prep your watercolor paper with gesso
•How to prep your canvas and hard surfaces for paint

There is a tutorial on materials, including paint, brushes, paper, mediums and varnishes.
You will receive a Studio Resource List of Bob’s recommendations.

•You will learn practical information about your tools: Brushes and other ways to get paint on your painting surface.

•Speaking of paint… Bob will show you how to set up your paint colors, making your necessary studio value and color charts. He will also show you how he mixes his paints to get his vibrant colors!

•Ending your day: Clean up, cleaning your brushes and what you do with the left over paint!

This is a course about studio practices, but you will also paint! Bob will go over his 5Cs and get you started on creating your own routine of daily warm up exercises!
