Bob, we had the most amazingly wonderful workshop in Prince Edward Island years ago… pre-COVID, pre-Hurricane Ian which has decimated southwest Florida and especially Sanibel and Fort Myers, pre-California fires. Your teaching was spot-on and the mackerel fishing trip was sublime! Hope to get out to another workshop some day. We all learned so much and you made it so much fun!!

You make every Monday something to look forward to. I learn something new from each Bob Blast and am better for that although I do not always rush to emulate that week’s lesson. I am more of a watercolor guy and representational rather than imaginational. I hold the brush halfway more than at its tip. Abstraction is mostly a mystery to me. And yet…often in the middle of a painting I hear Bob saying something in my head such as “Don’t put your eye out…Don’t stay in one place too long…Leave something for the viewer to finish, etc.” and I realize how much I have been influenced for the better by another Monday session with Bob. Well, I know I’m one of a hundred, but my friend, Karen, and I took several of your workshops in Mendocino, one in San Luis Obispo at the museum, and basically you changed my life. I would not have gone into painting had it not been for your loosening up workshops. After probably 15 years, I now have a studio and hear your teachings in my head all the time.

A belated Happy Birthday wish. I recently discovered your amazing videos on you tube, wish I knew of you years ago! I’m leaving watercolors, needed a new spark for my creative side. Purchased acrylics then thought … how do I use this beautiful paint? Then I found your amazing work. Thank you for sharing every important detail in your demos. I just yesterday ordered your “Goof Proof” Color Wheel from Cheap Joe’s, I’ve painted 4 canvases with orange gesso. They are now dry and ready for fun! Thank you so much. Wish you could come to Pueblo,Colorado. I’d be first in line

I have a degree from a well known Art School in Philadelphia.i put down my brushes to raise a family, go to Divinity School ( in preaching I always painted word pictures) and now at almost 80 discovered Bob Blast……you have rekindled my passion for painting…..you have touched my heart in an incredible way ……tears are falling on my iPad , tears of gratitude and joy!
