How to create more meaningful abstract paintings in a small scale format! Not exactly a miniature, but artwork created for small spaces, based on graphic design, color and a strong concept. Bob has called these his “little gems” since 1996.

This concentrated workshop emphasizes variations in materials and experimentation using acrylic paint, collage, water soluble pencils and crayons – from your concept to the creation of a series. Experience hands-on demos, techniques and basic formulas. Plenty of painting time, and critiques.

Be prepared to paint looser, bolder, freer, lighter and with more experimentation and guided play time. All water soluble paints are welcomed.

Students will be emailed handouts of useful and need-to-know information. All levels.
