Painting the Illusion of Glass Vessels
This one-day intensive workshop shows basic steps for painting glassware. Painting a glass object is really painting the illusion of glass. Look at a glass object and see patterns, lights and darks, hard and soft edges and color reflections. Glassware in dramatic lighting reveals dramatic dark and light shapes.
In this workshop you can expect to paint “everyday glassware” as well as fancier cocktail glasses, Martini glasses and wine glasses. You will learn about hot spots, shadows and reflections – all in Bob’s loose style!
Many demos, painting time and critiques from Bob. All levels. Handouts will be emailed. Be ready to paint the illusion of glass!
