Juror, Sharon DiGiulio
Sharon DiGiulio graduated from Central Michigan University earning a degree in Fine and Applied Arts with a concentration in Printmaking. Working in offset printing as a graphic designer in Key West, she began her career in the art industry. After six years of living in Key West, Sharon moved to Raleigh, NC with her young son, Zach. There, she landed a job as the art director of a screen printing company. Later on, she and her husband Joe opened their own screen printing company designing and printing t-shirts for three years. On to working in customer service, marketing and sales, DiGiulio took on the position of event coordinator at Jerry’s Artarama. She has hosted thousands of hands on art workshops in the Raleigh area through the Jerry’s Artarama retail store and through Art of the Carolinas. Sharon has been the director of Art of the Carolinas since its inception in 2000. Celebrating 20 years recently, Art of the Carolinas is the largest art supply trade show in the country! Sharon works in several different media including collage, encaustic painting, acrylic painting, printmaking and oil/resin painting. She offers workshops locally and around the country and is represented by galleries in North Carolina and South Carolina. Non-Profit Beneficiary, Sedona Arts Center
Sedona Arts Center is a non-profit organization with a mission to connect, enrich, educate and lead through the inspiring power of the arts and creative discovery, and has been providing arts education opportunities for over 60 years. Our Scholarship Fund helps pay tuition for those needing financial assistance to take a class or workshop of their choosing. Scholarship funding is made possible by generous donors who believe in the importance of arts education and how the arts can literally change people’s lives. Awards pay 50% of tuition; though full tuition scholarships may be awarded in special circumstances. In addition to the classes and workshops, we offer a range of community events and programs, And support the work of regional artists through ongoing exhibits and our gallery. www.sedonaartscenter.org
